All boats on Lake Forest must be registered with the association. Boat registration stickers cost $5. They are available for 2010 and will be mailed when dues are paid. Stickers are also available from Greg Barnes, LFA Boat Warden call after 5 pm at 203-581-0257.

GENERAL REGULATIONS

All boats must be registered with the association and the registration has to be renewed yearly. Boats may be docked at the boat docks or on a member’s property.

Only battery powered motors are allowed on the lake. For boat stickers and access to the boat docks, boat launch area or Beach 2 contact Boat Dock Chairperson Greg Barnes or Association Vice President Michele Finelli (michelefinelli1026@gmail.com or 203-520-4657). Only the association may operate a gasoline powered motor on the lake.

• Boats are not allowed in the beach area.
• Upsetting and/or overloading boats is not permitted.
• Guests are not allowed to use a boat unless accompanied by a member.
• Space at the boat docks is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Children using boats are required to wear life jackets at all times.
• Members are required to supervise children in boats at all times.

A boat identification system has been instituted that incorporates an
association-issued sticker marking the year (2010, for example) PLUS a
code for the name of the street on which a boat owner lives, followed by
the street number of his or her home.

For example, the code for Chatham Terrace is C1. If you live at 6
Chatham Terrace, your boat ID would be C1-6, along with the year-sticker
which must be purchased from the association for $5. Contact Boat Dock
Chairperson Greg Barnes for year-stickers. Boat owners must purchase
their own street-code stickers, which are available at marine supply
stores and hardware stores.
